I'm back again!!!!!!!! This weekend was a great time! I went to a goat roast with all of my friends and host family members. It was kind of gross, but it was a lot of fun! My host dad was great! He was passing out shots of vodka to everyone, but wouldn't actually drink it himself. I think he might have been trying to get us all drunk to see how we acted (that seems to be common in Mongolia)!

Yesterday I went to Ulaanbaatar with my host mother and father! We went and visited some of their family that lived on the outskirts of the city. I watched them take down one of their gers....Which reminds me I actually put up my own ger about a week and a half ago! I will post the pictures soon!!!!!

While we were in Ulaanbaatar (UB) I saw I guy get hit by a truck, which it was only a matter time because some of the drivers are crazy! After the accident my host family took me shopping for mouth wash and other necessities that can not be found in my city. After the wonderful shopping trip my HF wanted to take me for a hamburger, but unfortunately the Irish Pub that I like was closed. Instead we opted for Mongolian BBQ and it was the American chain BD's!!! It was hands down the best meal I have ever had in my entire life! My HF was amazed that I went back 3 times, but it was so good.

Well I have to get to dance class! Take care everyone!

I would like to apologize to all of my loyal fans for not posting on my blog since arriving in Mongolia! I still only use a public computer, but I have some free time and some money to spend! :)

The last 6 weeks have had lots of ups and a couple of downs, but all in all pre-service training has been going great!!!!! This weekend is full of exciting and fun events! Today I worked in a Delgor(a mom and pop super market) and I sold toilet paper and three cigarettes. I really didn't want to sell them, but Sharaa made me haha! While I was working a drunk man came in and picked up a bottle of vodka and dropped it on the floor. I spent the rest of the morning picking up glass.

This afternoon my Peace Corps friends and I are going to a goat roast. We killed the goat this morning and are cooking it with hot stones. I am looking forward to the get together, but not the eating part! Last week at Nadaam I drank fermented mares milk which ended up making me sick for 3 days, so in other words I am ready to eat my own cooked foods (unfortunately that's not much better HA!).

I promise I will start writing much more! I get my own internet connection in 2 weeks and I will have multiple posts per week, so get your reading glasses ready, and try not to critique my writing too much (Isabel haha!). Love you all!

Tim

Oh and Mrs. C I am glad to hear your surgery went well! Make sure you stay on that PT! haha

I must apologize that I am only going to write a little bit! I am currently sitting in Incheon International Airport in South Korea! My laptop is about to die, but my Peace Corps class (M21's) is amazing! It is full of wonderful people from all over the United States! I can not wait to begin working with them! Well like I said I have to go! I hope everyone is doing well!

How do I begin? I guess I will start off explaining why I am on Blogspot. Ten months ago I set off on a journey. I began applying for the Peace Corps. On March 5th, 2010 I was invited to serve in Mongolia for 27 months! I will be leaving on June 12th for my placement! For now I suppose that is all, but I promise I will have more about my journey and experiences. I'm looking forward to the next 30 months or more of blogging!
